More narcotics seized in northern Myanmar destroyed

The illicit drugs torched in three cities were evidence in 3,975 court cases heard last year. Violence, corruption, money laundering, transnational crime and armed resistance facilitate the spread of drugs. Opium production is falling but that of synthetic drugs is increasing.
